23 Monkeys is a group of artists and art-appreciators with a passion for exciting designs. We put the designer in the spotlight, giving everyone the opportunity to design a T-Shirt made available to the entire world! 23 Monkeys is also about the artistic community. Feedback is strongly encouraged, as user voting and interaction determines our content. This element allows for 23 Monkeys to be a dynamic and constantly exciting site.

23 Monkeys is also dedicated to making the world a better and cleaner place. Our shirts are made to order, which means no waste from overproduction, we use a “green” printing process, which means no harmful pollutants, and all our shirts are made of organic cotton. All our shirts are printed and manufactured locally, sweatshop-free, right here in sunny California.

The Team:

Adrian Nabi
Adrian is known as the founder and editor of the Urban Art Magazine "Backjumps" since 1994.
Since he found the hip hop in himself in 1983, he lives for the hip hop culture.
He is one of the co-founders of the Street Art and Aerosol-Culture in Germany. As curator of diverse exhibitions since the early 1990s, Adrian's work is recognized and active worldwide. Adrian - honored with the "Otto Steinert Preis" - recently debuted as a documentary director in the documentary "Hinter der Tür" ("Behind the door").

Stefan Groschupf
Stefan has been working with Adrian ("Backjumps" CDROMs and videos) and other Urban Art Scene activists for many years.
Stefan made himself a name as the publisher of the monthly magazine "40Below", where amongst others people like André Langenfeld participated.
Stefan was also active in the "Battle of the Year" area until 2000.
